We are going to spend the day on the SALER BEACH and in the PARQUE NATURAL DE LA ALBUFERA of Valencia

We will leave Valencia in the morning and come back around dinner time.
We will spend the day on the beach which is one of the most natural beaches in the Valencian region and is a protected zone. We can eat lunch here and it's better to bring your own food and drink to have a picnic on the beach.
When we are nice and sunned we will have a boat trip that will last around 50 minutes around the Lagoon of Valencia

The Natural park is one of the most representative and valuable in Valencia and the Mediterranean coastal wetlands. With an area of 21,120 hectares, it's only 10 km from the city of Valencia. Its proximity and ease of access make it the perfect excuse to leave the city and observe nature. Throughout the year, the great biodiversity of this protected natural area allows us to observe a large variety of fauna and flora.

Since 1990 the Natural Park of Albufera has been included in the list of wetlands of international importance for birds established under the Ramsar Convention of 2nd February 1971, and since 1991 it has been included as a ZEPA area (Zone for special Protection of Birds) and is also considered a site of Community Interest (SCI).

During the boat ride we will see one of the most beautiful and typical scenes from a Valencia postcard, the sunsest on the Lagoon. The only sunset
that can be seen on the peninsula by this part of the Mediterranean Sea.

Did you know that Paella was born in Valencia?

Moreover, it orginates from Albufera as this area has the largest rice plantations are in Europe. Paella is the most famous Spanish dish in the world, it's a culinary masterpiece and something very typical, and part of daily life for Valencians - and its origins are a few kilometers from the city of Valencia. Seriously worth visiting. Don´t you think so?
