If you go to Ibiza you can’t miss the opportunity to visit the island of Formentera!
It is a true paradise on Earth. It has nothing to envy to the Caribbean islands.
It is the smallest inhabited island of the Balearic Islands. It is located just 2 nautical miles from the island of Ibiza although between the ports of Ibiza and Formentera are 12 nautical miles.
It is an environmental reserve of great value, the nature of this incredible island remains almost intact.
We can enjoy the beaches without constructions or hotels, with its white sand and transparent water of navy blue color.
Many artists have found inspiration for their works, spending time in this corner of the Balearic Islands.
The immortal writer Jules Verne had a deep affection for the island and the Lighthouse of La Mola in particular - they were his inspiration for the novel 'Hector Servadac'.
Formentera is a mandatory tourist destination for all visitors to Ibiza.
Celebrities from around the world also have this island on their list of preferred destinations to go on vacation.
But Formentera is a luxury that we can all enjoy. And it's worth it!

Plan of the day:
We will leave early in the morning from the hotel and we will go to the port of Ibiza to take the boat that will take us to Formentera.
In this marine journey, we can enjoy the deck contemplating the sea and feeling the wind.
Once in the Port of Formentera we will have several options to move around the island:
- on a rental bicycle
- in a rental car
- on a rental scooter or motorcycle
- walking to the beach of Illetas (undoubtedly the prettiest on the island) - 4km
NO need to rent anything previously - it can be done directly upon arrival.
Happy Erasmus is committed to clean energy and environmental protection and recommends renting bicycles - it is also a cheaper option (you can check the routes here)
After getting dark and recharging the batteries with the mystical energy of the island we will return to the port to catch our boat back.
We will arrive in Ibiza for dinner time.
