-Departure to Valencia

The island of Tabarca is located in front of the city of Alicante. Its waters are a Mediterranean Marine Reserve for its excellent quality and for the biodiversity of its flora and fauna. Its coasts once housed a refuge for Berber pirates.

In the 18th century, Carlos III ordered to fortify this island and build a town to house several families of fishermen from Genoa who were held captive in the Tunisian city of Tabarka.
The walls that surround its urban nucleus have been declared a Historic Artistic Site and a Site of Cultural Interest.

To get to and from the island we will embark on a catamaran and make a journey of approximately 40 minutes - a very beautiful trip through the Mediterranean Sea will refresh our morning and afternoon!

We will spend the day on its beaches, visit the town and hike along its coasts.
