Three Wonders in a day: Palm Grove of Elche and the historic cities of Cartagena and Murcia with professional guides that will make us enjoy and understand everything we are going to see. Descover the southeast of Spain with Happy Erasmus.

MURCIA, CARTAGENA AND PALM GROVE
Come visit two historic cities in one day and enjoy the largest palm grove in Europe and one of the largest in the world.

Cornered by the province of Andalucia and the Valencian Community, we can find the 7th most populous province in Spain, Murcia. This region stands out as one of the largest producers of fruits, vegetables and flowers in Europe. But in addition to the Murcian orchard, this province has unique virgin landscapes and spaces, as well as a wide historical and cultural heritage.

We invite you to descover the two most important cities of this historical region, on an express visit that will make you fall in love.

Our first stop will be at the Palm Grove of Elche - it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000 and it is the largest extension of palm trees in Europe and one of the largest in the world. It was created by the Muslims who occupied the Iberian Peninsula and although its current extension is smaller than before, more than 200,000 examples form an impressive "forest" that makes it one of the most important tourist stops in the region.

After we will visit the city of Cartagena, known as the “legislative capital” of the region, since the Regional Assembly is based in this municipality.

In our guided tour of the city, we can see how the passage of the different Carthaginian, Roman, Visigoth, Byzantine and Muslim peoples has been reflected in the streets and monuments of the city. This important port city will also surprise you with its military architecture as a result of its strategic situation that made it serve as a defensive city.

Then, we will move to the capital of the province, Murcia. Of great university tradition and with an important historical-artistic heritage that we will know by the hand of an expert guide. We will cross Trapería Street, we will be amazed at the majestic Cathedral of Santa María, we will recreate ourselves in the gardens of El Salitre, the garden of San Sebastián and the garden of Malecon. We will know the Almodovar Palace and the Almudi Palace, as well as the Romea Theater.

You can take advantage of free time to continue knowing the history of this beautiful city, while trying some of its typical dishes and sweets.

Already exhausted and at night we will return to Valencia.
