An unforgettable day of beach with its blue waters and impressive views of the medieval fortress, of beauty of the surroundings, of culture, of castle, of town with its white houses and narrow streets - is a true jewel of the Mediterranean coast!
The beach of Peñiscola, apart from being so beautiful with its white sands and blue waters, also has all kinds of entertainments: you can practice paddle surfing (right next to the rocks of the castle - impressive), you can go to 'banana' - a very famous aquatic fun that consists of being towed on a structure that looks like a banana to a motor boat. There are also options to rent the water scooter. On this beach there is everything for you to have a great time!
We'll leave early in the morning to make the most of the day and we will come back around dinner time.

We'll go to Peñíscola, a historical and beautiful city in the Valencian region, famous for its Templario Pontifico castle immortalized in the famous film 'El Cid' with Charlton Heston (directed by Anthony Mann and produced by Samuel Bronston).
The Peñíscola beach is one of the best in Spain and is famous for its white sand, blue sea, and incredible views of the castle. If the weather is good enough you could always have a swim!

Peñíscola was built on the rocky shores in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries by the Templars, and you can see its history in the winding streets. The strong and majestic castle has been a symbol of Peñíscola since the ancient past. Even during phonecian times the castle was an extraordinary and strategic spot. Geographically, the Peñíscola rock is separated from the mainland by a narrow strip of sea, which during heavy storms meant that the castle was impossible to attack not only from the sea but from the mainland fortress.
The famous monument from the middle ages, the Papa Luna Castle was included in the UNESCO list and is the main symbol of Peñíscola, perfectly preserved from the Middle Ages until the present day. It is surrounded by majestic and monumental walls. You can see the castle from the whole city.
In the fifteenth century the Papa Luna Castle was home to the cardinal Pedro of Luna who ascended the Roman throne as Pope Benedict XIII. He was the second and last antipope of the Avignon during the Great Schism. It is the second most visited monument in Spain after the Alhambra in Granada.
