Are you coming with us to know the city of Alicante? You can't miss it! The sands of the coast of Alicante are very white and reflect a very special light, that is why this coast is called Costa Blanca. In addition to its paradisiac beaches, Alicante has much to visit and discover: a medieval castle and an unforgettable old town. That is why it is the tourist destination number 1 of the Mediterranean Coast. Are you in?

We will start our day visiting the Castle of Santa Bárbara and the historic center of the city. We will always be accompanied by a local guide who will tell us all the details of the history of the city, the castle and we will discover all the secrets of the different monuments and corners.
We can't stay at home!

The city was founded by the Greeks more than 2,500 years ago under the name Acre Leuca ('Cerro Blanco'), then the Romans renamed it Lucentum (City of Light) and the Arabs named it Al Lukant.

Tha main attraction in Alicants is the Santa Barbara castle. This castle is is located on cliff Benacantil at an altitude of 166m above sea level, and has always been an important strategic point during the battles for the city. Today from the castle you can admire the breathtaking view of the city of Alicante, and the sea with its beaches and neighboring villages. Also there is now a museum of history in the castle.
One of
the great attractions of the city is the Paseo Explanada. It is a universally known scenic spot to rest for visitors and locals. The floor of the street is designed as a magnificent mosaic, which is made up of 6 million stones.
In the center of the old town is the magnificent building of the Basilica of Santa Maria which has been here since the sixteenth century and was originally a Muslim mosque.

After we will make a stop at Laguna Rosa, a spectacular lake of pink waters that can not miss in your intagram :-p

It is a lake with a very high salt content that makes it an extreme environment where bacteria (harmless) give this characteristic and unique pink color.
