An amazing day in Bocairente with it's caves "Les Covetes dels Moros", the oldest bullring in Valencian Comunity and after we will visit an espectacular Natural Park - Pou Clar where we will be able to swim and have sunbath!

We are going to have a great day visiting 2 points of tourist interest near Valencia.
The first stop of our excursion will be the Bocairent village which is famous for its incredible caves that look like a labyrinth and the Plaza de Toros - oldest in the Valencian community.
The second stop is going to be done in a natural reserve site Pou Clar in Ontinyent - it is a river that forms natural pools between the rocks.
Bocairente (Bocairent in Valencian) is a small town in the south of Valencia that is known for the "Covetes dels Moros", an artificial caves dug into a vertical wall of the mountain by the Muslims who inhabited the region in the 10th and 11th centuries. Its multiple windows at four levels of height make this construction something unique and worth visiting. It is a series of galleries with about 50 windows in 3-4 levels on the wall of the Barranc de la Fos.
Its origins are not without mystery and controversy, although the most serious studies indicate that it could be warehouses and community granaries of the Muslim era, very similar to those of the Berber peoples of the high Atlas Mountains whose origin is probably common.
It is a small town of about 4350 inhabitants but with a long history and whose medieval old town was declared a Historic-Artistic site, and is elevated on a rock next to the cliffs that form the river bed.
Its bullring is considered the oldest in the Valencian Community and is excavated in the rock which makes it particular and interesting. Its construction is dated in 1843 and has a capacity of 4,000 spectators.
Located in the cenerities of Ontinyent at 1h30 hour from Valencia the "Pou Clar" is another earthly paradise of the Valencian Community. We will enjoy nature in an incredible environment. The waters are crystal clear due to the source of the Clariano River and all the pools are surrounded by calcareous rocks and an exuberant nature.
After a hot day in the village we will stop to bathe and relax in this natural environment.
