From Happy Erasmus we invite you to spend a day knowing two totally different landscapes of our community. We will visit the famous Castle of Xátiva and the Albufera natural park.

Itinerary
- Departure from Valencia in the morning
- Visit to the Castle of Xátiva
- Visit to the Albufera and El Saler
- Return to Valencia for dinner time

Our first stop will be in the municipality of Xátiva, which was one of the most important towns in the Kingdom of Valencia. Despite being burned in 1707, Xátiva still preserves an important artistic heritage, such as the Xátiva Castle.

How could it be otherwise, the Happy Erasmus group has scheduled a visit to the Castle, which has been the scene and witness of numerous conflicts. This architectural monument is divided into the Castell Menor and the Castell Major, through which we can find influences of different origins, as its roots are Iberian and Roman, but most of the preserved walls and towers are of Islamic or Gothic origin.

After contemplating this jewel declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, we will move to the Valencian coast, to enjoy one of the most emblematic natural parks in Valencia, the Albufera.

La Albufera is one of the most important coastal wetlands in the Valencian Community. It is a coastal lagoon, separated from the sea by a spit of land. We will go through part of this lagoon on a boat route where we will be able to see some of the endangered animals that inhabit this wetland, such as the fartet and the samaruc.

We are going to discover the Albufera on the excursion with the boats. It is about a one-hour ride where we can appreciate the sunset, the flora and fauna of the area, the typical Valencian barracas (countryside houses).

After enjoying the park we will return to Valencia where we will arrive before dinner time.
